Demand is being raised to ban the Pran Pratistha ceremony to be held on January 22 in Ayodhya.

According to news agency ANI, Bhola Das of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh has filed the petition. The petition says, ‘A religious program is going to be organized in Ayodhya on 22 January 2024. The idol of Ramlala will be installed in the under construction temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will perform the puja.
It is further said, ‘Shankaracharyas have raised objection to the Pran Pratishtha programme. No religious programs are organized in the month of Pus.
The temple is still not completed. No deity is enshrined in an incomplete temple. According to the agency, in the petition Pran Pratishtha has also been described as a case against Sanatan tradition.
It has also been claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party has organized the program for electoral gains.
Life consecration ritual begins
The consecration ceremony of Ramlala started on Tuesday in the Ram temple of Ayodhya. Several rituals were performed during this period under the leadership of a member of the temple trust and his wife.
The rituals that started on Tuesday will conclude with the consecration of the idol of Ramlala in the new temple.
Satyendra Das, chief priest of Ram temple, said, ‘The rituals have started and will continue till January 22. 11 priests are performing rituals invoking all the ‘Gods and Goddesses’.
The hosts of the rituals, which will continue till the 22nd of this month, are temple trust members Anil Mishra and his wife Usha Mishra. Anil Mishra himself has confirmed this.
