In this, Rs 2,677 crore 50 lakh 85 thousand for Public Health Engineering Department, Rs 44 crore 04 lakh 60 thousand for Urban Administration and Development Department-Urban Body, Rs 3,471 crore 38 lakh 96 thousand for Public Works-Roads and Bridges, Rs 925 crore 61 lakh 57 thousand for justice administration and elections, Rs 1,844 crore 41 lakh 91 thousand for public works-building, Rs 2,096 crore 69 lakh 52 thousand for urban administration and urban development-urban welfare, Public Works Department This includes Rs 575 crore 62 lakh 32 thousand for foreign aided projects and Rs 2,745 crore 23 lakh 94 thousand for financial assistance to urban bodies. 23 members participated in the discussion of demands for grants and praised the budget provision and gave suggestions. During the discussion on the demands for grants, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao announced the construction of Atal Chowk in all the urban bodies of the state to keep the memories of the creator of Chhattisgarh, Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji intact. He also said that the demands and suggestions of the members should be taken seriously.

Public Health Engineering Department –

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, while replying to the discussion on the demands for grants of his departments, said that the guarantee of a successful Prime Minister means that “there is a guarantee on the guarantee also.” He said that our government under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai ji is working under the leadership of Modi ji. Is working to fulfill these guarantees. A provision has also been made in the budget for the financial year 2024-25 to fulfill the guarantees of Modi ji.
While discussing the demands for grants of the Public Health Engineering Department, Deputy Chief Minister Sao said that “if there is water, there is tomorrow”, life cannot be imagined without water. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to providing pure drinking water to every home and to fulfill the commitment, our government is working to provide 55 liters of pure drinking water to every home.
Deputy Chief Minister Sao said in his budget speech that the state government has approved Rs 22,442 thousand crore 12 lakh 21 thousand for a total of 29 thousand 181 schemes of single village and retrofitting under Jal Jeevan Mission. Till now, more than 38 lakh rural families have been given tap connections. 49 lakh 99 thousand rural families are to be benefited through the scheme. He said that in the presented budget, a provision of Rs 6 crore has been made for rural water schemes. A provision of Rs 4 crore 50 lakh has been made for the NABARD funded solar based rural water supply scheme. This year, provision for 29 lakh 7 thousand domestic tap connections has been made under Jal Jeevan Mission. For this, a budget provision of Rs 4 thousand 500 crore has been made as state share. He said that through Group Water Supply Scheme, rural families of 365 villages are being benefited from 15 Group Water Supply Schemes, for this a provision of Rs 15 crore has been made in the budget. He said that a provision of Rs 36 crore 39 lakh grant and loan of Rs 26 crore 50 lakh has been made for urban schemes. Besides, a provision has also been made to provide pure drinking water to the general public in Mekahara Hospital.

Urban Administration and Development Department –

Deputy Chief Minister Sao, in his speech on the demands for grants of the Urban Administration and Development Department, said that our government is committed to providing basic facilities to all citizens. Our government has made a provision of Rs 6,044 crore 7 lakh for the financial year 2024-25 to provide assistance to the urban bodies of the state. In this amount, mainly a provision of Rs 1215 crore has been made as financial assistance to the urban bodies of the state to eliminate octroi compensation.

Deputy Chief Minister Sao said that a provision of Rs 700 crore has been made for the basic facilities and other infrastructure development of urban bodies. It is working towards providing permanent housing to urban houseless, poor families and low income group families. Under Housing for All Mission, a budget provision of Rs 1 thousand 01 crore 57 lakh has been made for the financial year 2024-25. A provision of Rs 795 crore 67 lakh has been made for Amrit Mission-II and drinking water augmentation schemes. Under the Smart City Mission, a provision of Rs 404 crore has been made for the development of Raipur and Bilaspur. A provision of Rs 411 crore 12 lakh has been made for the Swachh Bharat Mission. He said that on the lines of Nalanda campus of Raipur, a well-equipped central library will be constructed in 22 urban bodies of the state for the construction of library-cum-reading library, for which a provision of Rs 148 crore has been made. Our government has also made special budget provision for sewerage treatment plant and e-governance scheme.

Deputy Chief Minister Sao said that in order to provide health facilities to the citizens living in urban areas at their doorstep, it is providing health facilities to lakhs of patients under the Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme and the Chief Minister Dai-Didi Clinic. A provision of Rs 300 crore has been made for this.

Public Works Department –

While discussing the demands for grants of the Public Works Department, Deputy Chief Minister Sao said that the traffic pressure on the roads of the state is continuously increasing, due to which there is a need to increase the width of important roads, strengthen the existing routes and widen the dilapidated and narrow bridges. Working towards increasing it. For this, considering the traffic density, special work is being done to build ring roads outside the cities, fly overs and railway over bridges to ease the traffic in the city. He said that in the year 2024-25, the total budget of Public Works Department is provisioned at Rs 8016 crore 84 lakh 34 thousand. In which a provision of Rs 1275 crore 52 lakh 89 thousand has been made for new works. A provision of Rs 396 crore 98 lakh 96 thousand has been made for the repair of roads. In response to the discussion, he said that our government is continuously working to strengthen the transportation facilities under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. In this context, it has been decided to organize a conference of Indian Road Congress in Chhattisgarh to ensure the quality of roads, for this a budget provision of Rs 4 crore has been kept. He informed that a provision of Rs 64 crore 19 lakh has been made for new works under the Scheduled Tribe Sub-Plan and also for the development work of Scheduled Caste area.

Law and legislative work –

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, while discussing law and legislative work, said that special efforts are also being made to maintain the justice system in the state. A budget provision of Rs 1228 crore 54 lakh 5 thousand has been made in the financial year 2024-25 for the arrangement, establishment and other work of courts. A provision of Rs 20 crore 92 lakh has been made for the creation of a total of 360 posts including supporting staff for the establishment of courts. Rs 1 crore 45 lakh for creation of 44 posts for establishment of Sessions Court, Bijapur, Rs 15 crore 21 lakh 63 thousand for creation of 220 different posts in High Court Bilaspur, Rs 26 crore 64 lakh for implementation of e-Court Mission Project. , Creation of new posts in Fast Track Court Mungeli, creation of 50 posts in Government Advocate/Public Prosecutor Office, creation of 19 posts in the establishment of Family Court Katghora and creation of 19 posts in the establishment of Law and Legislative Affairs Department in the budget. Provision of amount has also been made. Rs 50 lakh for State Judicial Academy, Rs 10 lakh for State Advocate Institute (Lawyers Academy), Rs 53 crore 30 lakh for infrastructure development, Rs 18 crore 27 lakh for computerization in courts, Rs 6 crore for Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority. A provision of Rs 1 crore has been made for the students studying in Hidayatullah National Law University to participate in the International Moot Court Competition.
