With the increase in the number of technicians, the system of repair and maintenance of hand pumps will be strengthened – Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao
Deputy Chief Minister and Public Health Engineering Minister Arun Sao today presented appointment letters to 135 new hand pump technicians selected through competitive examination by the Professional Examination Board (VYAPAAM).
They have been posted in rural areas across the state.
Deputy Chief Minister Sao expressed hope that by increasing the number of hand pump technicians in the department, the system of repair, maintenance and quality control of drinking water will be strengthened.
In the program organized at Naveen Vishram Bhawan, Raipur, Secretary of Public Health Engineering Department Mohammad Qaiser Abdulhaq, Director of Jal Jeevan Mission Sunil Jain and Chief Engineer of Public Health Engineering Department Dr. M.L. Aggarwal also participated.
While addressing the newly appointed technicians, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that a new chapter of your lives is starting from today.

After receiving the appointment letter, you all must be going through a different feeling. But this is not your destination, just a stop.
One should not sit satisfied, but should keep moving forward. He said that your energy and skills will help the department in smooth provision of drinking water in rural areas.
Repair and maintenance work of hand pumps will be expedited.

Deputy Chief Minister Sao said that on receiving information about the new recruitment, I had directed the departmental officers to provide appointment letters after counseling as soon as possible.
I wish you all a bright future. He said that your activism and good work at the field level will increase your respect and prestige.

This will also increase the respect of the department. He asked all the newly appointed hand pump technicians to cooperate in departmental work with new energy.
Public Health Engineering Department Secretary Mohammad Qaiser Abdulhaq said in the program that he is hopeful that all the new technicians will carry out their work seriously in the field and will help the department in providing uninterrupted drinking water to the people of the state.
