Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw visited the United Nations Headquarters in New York on Thursday during his study tour to the US.

There he visited the United Nations General Assembly Hall, Security Committee Hall etc. and understood the functioning of the Organization.

Secretary of Public Works Department Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, who accompanied him on the study tour, was also with him during this time. Deputy Chief Minister Sao had gone to the United Nations Headquarters on the invitation of Chief Finance Officer Anand Pandey.

Pandey is originally a resident of Belsari (Takhatpur) in Bilaspur district. After visiting the United Nations Headquarters, Deputy Chief Minister Sao said that a son of Belsari of Bilaspur is working on the dignified post of Chief Finance Officer in such an important office of the world. This is a matter of pride for the entire Chhattisgarh.

Deputy Chief Minister Saw also attended a function organised in his honour by people of Indian origin at the Royal Albert’s Palace in New Jersey.

In the programme, he talked about the work being done for the development of Chhattisgarh and the country as well as about Chhattisgarh’s culture, tourism, mythological beliefs, resources and the simple people here. He also shared his views about a developed Chhattisgarh.

Deputy Chief Minister Saw invited Indians settled in America to come to Chhattisgarh and see its unique splendor and natural beauty.

Deputy Chief Minister Saw also asked about the people of Chhattisgarh living there. He presented the organizers of the program with a photograph of Lord Shri Ram’s artwork made of plums made by him in Lormi.

While addressing the people of Indian origin in New Jersey, Deputy Chief Minister Saw said that wherever the people of India have gone in the world, they are contributing to the development of that country.

They are working together to increase the prestige and dignity of India. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is rapidly progressing towards becoming the third largest economy in the world.
