Surat | A diamond merchant from the city died of a heart attack in a hotel in Mumbai. This incident happened when the diamond merchant was sexually exploiting a 14 year old minor girl by taking sex enhancing drugs. At that time, when her health suddenly deteriorated, the girl immediately informed the hotel staff. The hotel staff immediately took the diamond merchant to the hospital, where the doctor declared him dead. According to media reports, the 41-year-old owner of a diamond factory in Surat had gone to Mumbai with a 14-year-old minor girl. The diamond merchant had taken permission from the girl’s family to take her to Mumbai. Actually, the minor girl works in the diamond merchant’s factory. The diamond merchant used to provide financial help to the girl’s family. The girl’s family consists of her paralyzed father, mother and a brother. The family had confidence in the diamond merchant because of his daughter’s employment in the factory and financial help. Whereas the businessman had threatened the minor that if he did not listen to him then he would not help his family. In this way, the diamond merchant blackmailed the minor and took him to Mumbai last Saturday. In a hotel in Mumbai, a diamond merchant called the girl his daughter and also showed a fake Aadhaar card. After consuming sex enhancing drugs in the hotel room, the diamond merchant started sexually exploiting the girl. He threatened that if she told anything to anyone, he would not give money to her family and would also take back the previous money. The businessman suffered a heart attack while sexually assaulting the girl. After this the minor informed the hotel staff about this. The hotel staff took the manager to JJ Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. After getting the information, the minor’s mother reached Mumbai and recorded her statement. Police have registered a case under sections of BNS and POCSO. According to an official, the matter will be investigated and the report will be submitted to the court. Since the accused is not alive, a brief report will be prepared and presented in the court.
