New Delhi . Amid the border dispute with China, India has increased patrolling points in eastern Ladakh on the Line of Actual Control. The army will now increase patrolling from 65 to 72 points. A report quoted official sources as saying that patrolling has been increased at various places. According to reports, despite difficult weather conditions and terrain, Indian security forces are ensuring their dominance in the area.
The new patrolling area has been identified after the tension between Indian and Chinese troops between PP-04 and PP-65. Although these new patrolling points are difficult to reach due to the existence of a buffer between the two countries, sources said routes have been created to ensure effective patrolling. Clashes and standoffs between the Indian and Chinese armies have increased since 2013–14. The standoff in Ladakh in 2020 led to violent clashes. 20 Indian soldiers including a colonel were martyred in this.
The senior officer said since then the security forces have been equipped with new technology, drones, infrastructure, better coordination between forces and the Centre’s recent initiative for development of border villages along the LAC using the Vibrant Village Program (VVP). Has been better equipped.
