The festival of Diwali is being celebrated with great pomp across the country.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Ruler of Dubai, extended his greetings to people celebrating Diwali in the UAE and around the world.
Diwali is a special festival celebrated in India, especially for Hindus. It is believed that Lord Ram reached Ayodhya with Mother Sita after conquering Lanka.
People lit lamps to celebrate the arrival of Lord Ram in Ayodhya. Since then Diwali i.e. the festival of lights is celebrated. Diwali is being celebrated with great pomp across the country.
On this day people decorate the house with lamps and lights, worship Goddess Lakshmi at night and pray for the prosperity and happiness of the house.

Congratulatory messages are coming from all over the world on Diwali. From British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, many global leaders expressed their good wishes on social media.
Starmer wrote, “Happy Diwali to everyone celebrating Diwali across Britain. I wish you and your family a celebration filled with happiness. It’s time to come together. Also a symbol of the victory of light over darkness.”
Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed wrote in his post in Hindi, “Heartiest greetings to all those celebrating Diwali in the UAE and around the world. May this festival of lights bring happiness and peace to you and your loved ones and keep them safe always. May the light in your hearts lead you to the path of harmony, compassion and unity. Happy Diwali!”
Messages from Israel and Australia
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also issued an official statement conveying his good wishes. “Wishing everyone a very Happy Festival of Lights,” Albanese wrote in the ex-post.
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz wished Indians a happy Diwali and emphasized that his country shares India’s vision of democracy, freedom and a bright future.
Katz said in a post on ‘X’, “My friend S. Jaishankar, I wish you and the people of India a very happy Diwali.
Israel and India share a vision of democracy, freedom and a bright future.” He said, ”May this festival of lights bring happiness, prosperity and peace to all of us.” He wrote in Hindi, ”Happy Diwali. Hearty best wishes.”
