There is alert in the capital Delhi after the blast outside the Israeli Embassy.
Meanwhile, Israeli officials have issued advisory for their citizens in India. It has been advised to stay away from crowded areas.
There was no casualty in the blast that took place on Tuesday. However, it is reported that during the investigation, a letter was found from the spot, which was written for the Israeli Ambassador.
what’s in the advisory
Israel’s National Security Council has described the blast as a possible ‘attack’. An appeal has been made that Israeli citizens living in India should avoid visiting malls, markets or such places which are known to be visited by Western or Jewish people.
It has also been said that Israeli citizens should be cautious in public places, especially restaurants, hotels and bars.
The advisory also asks citizens to avoid putting up any kind of Israeli symbols.
It warns not to attend any event where there are a lot of participants as it is not safe. You have also been asked to avoid giving information about your travels on social media.
explosion near the embassy
A police officer has said that initial investigation has revealed that a ‘high intensity cracker blast’ took place on Prithviraj Road behind the Israeli Embassy.
He told that people had heard a loud bang. It is being said that a letter wrapped in the flag has also been found, in which the action being taken by Israel in Palestine has been mentioned.
It is a matter of relief that no one was injured in the blast. Israeli official Ohad Nakash Kaynar has said that all the diplomats are safe after the blast and Israeli security officials are working with Indian authorities to investigate.
The special thing is that earlier in 2021 also there was an explosion outside the Israeli Embassy, in which some vehicles were damaged. In 2012 also, a vehicle rider had planted a ‘sticky bomb’ on the Israeli embassy car, due to which an officer and the driver were injured.
