Action was taken by running a special campaign against a total of 365 drivers who did not wear helmets while driving two-wheelers on the National Highway and Central Avenue.
A total of 11 checking points were made on the National Highway and Central Avenue route in which action was taken by the traffic police and police stations.
Action will continue against those driving without helmet.
Along with the action, a helmet rally was taken out from Bafna Toll Plaza to Green Chowk, (Durg city) to create awareness about helmets.
Tomorrow at 10.30 am, a tractor rally will be taken out from Pulgaon Chowk regarding traffic awareness.
Implementation of strict instructions given by the District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police in the Road Safety Committee meeting to take action against those driving without helmet on the National Highway and Central Avenue road in order to prevent the death rate in road accidents due to driving without helmet. In 2017, a total of 11 checking points were made on the National Highway and Central Avenue road, in which traffic officers and police station forces conducted a special campaign against those driving without helmets.
In the said action, action was taken under the Motor Vehicle Act against a total of 365 drivers who were driving without helmets. This action will continue further.
कार्यवाही के साथ-साथ हेलमेट के प्रति लोगों को जागरूक करने बाफना टोल प्लाजा से ग्रीन चौक दुर्ग शहर के अंदर हेलमेट रैली का भी आयोजन किया गया।
यातायात जागरूकता कार्यक्रम के तहत कल दिनांक 03.02.2024 को सुबह 10.30 बजे पुलगांव चौक से वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक रामगोपाल गर्ग महोदय के द्वारा टेक्टर रैली को हरी झण्डी दिखाकर रवाना किया जायेगा उक्त लगभग 50 टेक्टरो में यातायात नियम संबंधी बैनर पोस्टर लगाये जायेगें जो पुलगांव चौक से महाराजा चौक, जेल तिराहा, मालवीनगर चौक, राजेन्द्र पार्क चौक होते हुए रविशंकर स्टेडियम में समाप्त होगा।
