New Delhi. Stones were thrown during Ganesh idol immersion in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. This led to a clash between two groups but it was controlled due to the vigilance of the police administration. The police have registered a case and started action against the anti-social elements involved in the incident. The accused will be identified and arrested. Joint CP Dnyaneshwar Chavan said that additional police has been deployed in the area. Many people have been detained from the spot and the police is investigating them.
Meanwhile, during Ganesh idol immersion in Baran, Rajasthan, a minor dispute between two parties took the form of violence. After a dispute between children, people of Banjara and Gurjar community clashed with each other. A total of 13 people from both the parties were injured in this fight. During this, the angry mob set two bikes on fire. Siswali police station in-charge Chhotulal said that Ganesh idol immersion was being done. During this, the youths of one party got into a dispute with the youths of the other party on the allegation of molesting a girl. Seeing this dispute, people of one community got angry. At the same time, people of the other party attacked with sticks. People of one party left their bikes on the culvert and ran away. The mob set both the bikes on fire. Police reached the spot and started investigating the matter.
