ED had raided his in-laws’ house on Friday. Aadya is considered close to former West Bengal Food Minister Jyoti Priya Mallick.
Let us tell you that yesterday the ED team was attacked in Sandeshkhali of North 24 Parganas. ED said in its statement that a mob of 800 to 1000 surrounded the investigating officers of ED.
The ED claimed that the mob had reached there to kill the officers. This incident happened during the search of the house of another Trinamool leader Sandeshkhabi.
Let us also tell you that the mob also snatched laptops and mobiles from the ED officers. Money from the wallets of many officers was also stolen. Cars were also vandalized.
It is noteworthy that ED officials divided into two teams and set out to investigate ration corruption. In the morning, a team reached the in-laws house of former chairman of Bangaon Municipality, Shankar Adya.
The second group went to the house of Trinamool leader Shahjahan Sheikh of Sarberia in Sandeshkhali. ED said in its statement that when the tower location of Shahjahan Sheikh’s mobile phone was checked, he was at home at that time.
When the ED officials tried to break the lock of the house, a crowd of 800 to 1000 people surrounded the ED officials.
They appeared with sticks and bricks. Many officers fled and were attacked by the mob.
