ED sent summons to Farooq Abdullah, called for questioning in money laundering case…

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned senior Jammu and Kashmir leader and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah in a money laundering case.

He has been called for questioning on Tuesday at 11 pm. The National Conference President was also called for questioning in this case last month but he did not appear.

It is believed that 86-year-old MP Abdullah has been summoned by the agency in connection with the investigation into the irregularities in the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).

ED had filed the charge sheet in 2022 in the case registered against Abdullah, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and sitting member of Lok Sabha from Srinagar.

ED said that this case is related to embezzlement of funds of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association. According to the agency, the association’s funds were transferred to the personal accounts of unrelated parties, including JKCA office-bearers, and cash was withdrawn from the body’s bank account without assigning any reason.

ED registered this case on the basis of the charge sheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in 2018. In the notice sent to Abdullah, the ED had asked him to appear at the Srinagar office of the agency.

Is Ram limited to one temple: Farooq Abdullah
If we talk about political movements, Farooq Abdullah had raised questions on the consecration ceremony of Ram temple in Ayodhya. He asked whether Lord Ram is limited to one temple.

He asked whether Shri Ram exclusively belonged to the BJP or the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He said, ‘No one has monopoly on Ram.

Does Lord Ram live in only one temple? Doesn’t Ram have any other house? Ram is omnipresent. He is there even where there is no Ram temple.

He is Ram of the whole world. He said that Shri Ram does not belong to any one sect and it is wrong to portray him only as a Hindu.
