Eight Bangladeshi nationals arrested from Tripura railway station

New Delhi . Eight Bangladeshi nationals who entered India illegally were arrested from a railway station in Tripura. A police officer gave this information. He said that after noticing suspicious activity in front of the ticket counter at Teliamura railway station, a joint team of Border Security Force (BSF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) have arrested four men and four women for questioning. Officer in-charge of Teliamura GRP, Gautam Debbarma, said, “Inquiry revealed that they were going to Hyderabad in search of livelihood. Since they had entered Indian territory illegally, they were immediately arrested. He said that the accused were produced in the local court to take them on remand. Debbarma said those arrested told police that they had crossed the international border at Karbuk in Gomti district and had spent the night in the forest. He said, they reached the station early in the morning in two vehicles. The matter is being investigated.
