The world’s richest man, Elon Musk, may now be seen in a new political role.
Recently, US presidential candidate Donald Trump has offered to give a cabinet position or make him an advisor in the White House if he wins.
Here, Musk also seems ready for a new role. Elections are to be held in America in November. Trump’s main rival is Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
Musk has also hinted at the department. On Tuesday, he posted, ‘I am ready to serve.’ He also posted a photo, which reads, ‘Department of Government Efficiency or DOGE’
Speaking to Reuters, Trump was asked if he would consider an advisory role or cabinet post for Musk. To this, he said, “He is very smart. If he does it, I would definitely do it.”
He is a very intelligent person. Apart from this, Trump has also said that he is considering ending the $7500 tax credit on buying electric vehicles. However, he said that he is not taking a ‘final decision’ on this.
Harris’s popularity increased
US Vice President Kamala Harris will attend the Democratic Party’s national convention with enthusiasm in the Democratic Party and a rise in her popularity among Americans. According to a new survey by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, nearly half of US adults (48 percent) have a very or somewhat favorable view of Harris.
The number of such Americans was 39 percent at the beginning of summer, hence it has now seen an increase. At that time, Joe Biden finally had to withdraw from the presidential election candidacy after his poor performance in the debate with former President Donald Trump.
Trump lags behind
Harris has not only improved her popularity but has also surpassed the popularity of Biden as the Democratic Party’s candidate, about whom 38 percent of Americans expressed a favorable opinion. Apart from this, Harris is also ahead of Trump, about whom 41 percent of adults have a favorable opinion. The National Convention of the Democratic Party is starting from Monday.
