An encounter is going on between security personnel and terrorists in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. According to Kashmir Zone Police, the encounter started in the early hours of Saturday in Adigam Devsar area. Kashmir Zone Police posted on X and wrote that an encounter has started in Adigam Devsar area of Kulgam. Police and security forces are on duty.
According to a report, three army personnel and a police officer were injured in an encounter with terrorists in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. All the injured soldiers have been taken to the hospital. The encounter is still going on and it is believed that two terrorists are still trapped. Earlier on September 22, a similar encounter had taken place between security forces and terrorists in Chatru area of Kishtwar district.
Acting on a tip-off about the presence of terrorists in the area, security forces launched an operation in Adigam village of the district and searched for the terrorists during house-to-house searches. During the search, the terrorists started firing at the security forces, after which firing started from both the sides.
Kashmir Police Zone tweeted that an encounter has started in Adigam Devsar area of Kulgam. Police and security forces are busy at work. Further information will be given later. Earlier on September 15, there was firing between terrorists and security forces in Poonch district.
On September 14, a terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Baramulla district. This encounter took place after two army soldiers were martyred in the line of duty in an encounter in Kishtwar. On September 11, there was an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Udhampur district.
