The Security Affairs Committee of the Union Cabinet has taken a big decision to strengthen the defence of the country.
Approved the proposal to procure 240 aero engines for the Air Force’s key fighter aircraft Sukhoi-30 at a cost of Rs 26,000 crore.
The proposal was approved in a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under this, 240 aero-engines (AL-31 FP) will be purchased from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited under the buy category for the Air Force’s Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter aircraft.
The cost of purchasing these aircraft will be more than Rs 26,000 crore including all taxes and duties. The delivery of these aero-engines will begin after a year and will be completed in a period of 8 years.
“The engines will have over 54 per cent indigenous content, increased due to indigenisation of some key components of the aero-engine,” a Defence Ministry statement said.
These will be manufactured at HAL’s Koraput division.’ It is known that the Sukhoi-30 aircraft is one of the most powerful and strategically important fleets of the Air Force.
The supply of these aero-engines by HAL will meet the requirement of the Air Force fleet. This will enable them to continue operating without interruption and further strengthen the country’s defense preparedness.

Yes, you will be surprised to hear this but it is true. The army has started this process for the last few years, in which anyone retiring from the army can keep these brave and courageous dogs with them.
They not only enhance the beauty of your home but also ensure its safety. According to a senior army officer, retired army dogs can be easily adopted.
There are no special conditions for this, but it is important that you should have a special affection and bond with dogs.
