Beijing once again slammed the Shahbaz government over the death of Chinese citizens in terrorist attacks in Pakistan.
The Chinese Ambassador in Islamabad bluntly said that without a secure environment, the Pakistan government will not be able to achieve anything.
He said that Chinese citizens were targeted in two terrorist attacks within just six months and we will not tolerate this under any circumstances.
Islamabad has made promises to China to stop terrorist attacks and provide security to Chinese citizens.
Beijing termed as “unacceptable” the fact that Chinese citizens were targeted in two deadly terrorist attacks in Pakistan within just six months and demanded that Islamabad should initiate action against all anti-China terrorist groups.
Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zedong, speaking at a seminar titled ‘China at 75’, said security lapses are the biggest hurdle for the multi-billion dollar CPEC project.
“Nothing can be achieved without a safe and healthy environment,” he stressed.
It is noteworthy that in March this year, two Chinese citizens were killed in an attack on a convoy of Chinese workers near Gwadar in Balochistan province.
The separatist Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack.
