Weather Alert: The weather pattern of Delhi-NCR including many states of the country seemed to have changed since Thursday. Fog and cold have entered the capital Delhi including many cities of North India. The morning of 14 November was cold in many cities. Amidst the ongoing snowfall in the mountains, the Meteorological Department has predicted fog and haze in the states of North India for the next few days. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has predicted more rain in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh in the coming days.
According to meteorologists, this drop in temperature is due to western disturbance. Which has brought snowfall in the Himalayan region. A drop in temperature has been observed in many states of North India. The biggest reason behind this is western disturbance. The main reason for this weather change is western disturbance. Due to this effect, the effect of winter has increased in Delhi and its surrounding areas. The temperature may drop further in the coming days, due to which people may have to face more cold.
There may be rain in Srinagar, light rain expected in Chandigarh
The snowfall in the mountains on Monday was the result of a weak western disturbance. Now another western disturbance is approaching rapidly, which reached the central and higher regions of Kashmir and Ladakh on Wednesday night. This system will be slightly stronger than the first one and will remain active till November 16. Due to this, there is a possibility of another round of snowfall in the mountain ranges above 12,000 feet. Whereas low lying areas like Srinagar, Banihal, Qazigund may receive sporadic rain and thundershowers. Even low lying areas like Jammu, Udhampur, Samba, Pathankot, Amritsar, Chandigarh may remain cloudy with light rain. Whereas there is no possibility of rain in Delhi due to this weather activity.
After the passing of this western disturbance, cold winds are likely to reach the plains of North India and Delhi via the hill slopes. Due to which there may be a slight drop in temperature at the end of this week. Temperatures may continue to drop as the season progresses. The minimum temperature may reach around 14 degrees or less by the beginning of next week.
It will be more cold in these states
The Meteorological Department has made predictions about how the cold will be in India this year. According to IMD, there are chances of severe cold in the country this year. Winter can be very harsh in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir. Extreme cold in India is related to La Nina. La Nina is a special state of weather. If La Nina is formed then cold outbreak is usually seen in the northern, north-western and central regions of India including Delhi-NCR. However, the full impact of La Nina will be understood in the coming month.
Weather patterns will change in these states also
Dense fog will prevail over northwest India during night and morning hours for the next two-three days. On Thursday also a warning of very dense fog was issued in Punjab. Dense fog warning has been issued for entire northwest India, including Ganga plains, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Jharkhand. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala today.
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall was recorded in Sirkali and Kolai Dam of Tamil Nadu in the last 24 hours. It also rained in Puducherry and Guntur in Rayalaseema. Dense fog prevailed in Delhi, Punjab, Western Rajasthan and Western Uttar Pradesh. Dense fog was also seen in some areas of Haryana. At the same time, the low pressure area over North Tamil Nadu and adjacent Bay of Bengal has now weakened. Another cyclonic circulation remains over Bangladesh. A Western Disturbance will start affecting the Himalayan region, Jammu and Kashmir from tonight. Due to all these weather conditions, Tamil Nadu is likely to receive heavy rains till November 19. Heavy rain is likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh on November 18, Kerala till November 19 and South Interior Karnataka on November 18.
