National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval is going to France on a two-day visit from Monday.
In France he will meet with top officials. It is being told that he is reaching France mainly to talk about the Rafale deal. A few days ago, a detailed offer from France regarding the Rafale deal was shared with India.
India is in a mood to conclude the talks and finalize the contract by the end of this year. Before Doval’s visit, the French company has reduced the price and given a final offer.
This deal can be very beneficial for the Indian Navy. There is a plan to include new Rafale aircraft in the naval fleet along with MiG-29K aircraft made in Russia.
According to the report, if the Rafale deal with France is finalized then the Navy’s MiG 29K aircraft will be replaced with Dassault company’s Rafale aircraft.
This deal may include 22 single-seat Rafale marine aircraft and four two-seater trainer version aircraft. The Indian Navy needs modern aircraft and submarines.
This deal is considered important to make the Navy more powerful. This deal has already been approved by the Defense Acquisition Council. With the help of France, India is also strengthening the aircraft industry.
France reduced the final price before Ajit Doval’s visit
It was being told that the price of the planes was the only thing coming in the way of this deal. However, before Doval’s visit, France has reduced its price and offered the final price.
However, it is not known how much the deal is going to be for. Sources say that India wants to keep the base price of 2016 only for this deal. Earlier, India had purchased 36 Rafale aircraft. It is being told that this deal can be worth more than Rs 50 thousand crore.
According to the information discussed so far, France will provide weapons, simulators, training for the crew and logistics support along with the planes.
Apart from this, France will also help in assembling Indian weapons. These aircraft can be deployed on INS Vikrant. Apart from this, deployment can also be done on INS Dega.
What is the specialty of planes?
The engine of Rafale marine aircraft is more powerful. Apart from this, it can be taken off and landed from less space. Its weight is about 10600 kg. Apart from this, Rafale aircraft can fly at a speed of 1912 kilometers per hour.
Its range is 3700 kilometers. This aircraft can fly at a height of 50 thousand feet. This aircraft is considered to be the best weapon for antiship strikes. According to the information, it may take 2 to 3 years to receive the first batch of aircraft after the deal.
