Explosion in Hezbollah’s pagers in Lebanon, Iran’s ambassador also injured

Beirut. Several Hezbollah members were injured when thousands of Hezbollah pagers exploded in the Lebanon’s capital Beirut. According to Iran’s news agency, Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani was also injured in this incident. According to security sources, the pagers which exploded were the latest model and were brought by Hezbollah. After these blasts, an atmosphere of chaos was seen in all the hospitals located in the southern areas of Beirut. According to a source, hundreds of Hezbollah members were injured due to explosions in their pagers in Hezbollah’s stronghold in South Lebanon and Eastern Bekaa Valley in Beirut.
Let us tell you that a few months ago, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrullah had appealed to his fighters not to use smartphones because Israel has the technology to hack smartphones or extract information from them. This is why Hezbollah had resorted to pagers instead of smartphones to improve its communication medium.
Elijah Magnier, a political analyst on the matter, said that Hezbollah relies heavily on pagers to prevent Israel from intercepting its communications and he also speculated that the pagers may have been tampered with before being given to Hezbollah members. Elijah Magnier said that this is not a new technique. It has been used before.
At present, the Israeli army has refused to comment on this attack. Let us tell you that Hamas attacked Israel in October last year, after which the Gaza war started. Since then, Hezbollah has carried out attacks against Israel in support of its ally Hamas.
