Given the weak signals from markets around the world amid rising crude oil prices, there are chances of an earthquake in the domestic stock market today.
Asian markets traded with losses, while Dalal Street i.e. US markets closed with losses.
GIFT Nifty was trading around 22,465 levels, down about 110 points from the previous close of Nifty futures. This also indicates an opening in the red for Sensex-Nifty.
9:35 AM Share Market Live Updates 3 April: The train in the stock market has just derailed. Sensex is now trading at 73611, down 292 points. Whereas, Nifty is at the level of 22370 with a loss of 82 points.
Amidst this fall, Shriram Finance, the top gainer in Nifty, has reached Rs 2530.70 with a gain of 2.63%. Hindalco is up by 1.84 percent and Tech Mahindra is up by 1.30 percent.
ONGC has also increased by 1.27 percent to reach Rs 275.95. There is a jump of 1.14 percent in the power grid.
8:00 AMShare Market Live Updates 3 April: The trend of the stock market has deteriorated even today. BSE Sensex opened with a fall of 146 points at the level of 73758.
Whereas, NSE’s 50-stock sensitive index Nifty 50 fell by 67 points and started the day’s trading at the level of 22385. Within minutes of market opening, Sensex came to 73568 and Nifty to 22351.
Asian Market: Asian markets were lower on Wednesday after overnight losses on Wall Street. Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 1.3% and the Topix fell 0.82%.
South Korea’s Kospi fell 0.8%. Whereas, Kosdaq declined by 1.24%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index futures indicated a marginally lower start.
Condition of Wall Street: There was a big fall in the American stock market on Tuesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 396.61 points, or 1%, to 39,170.24. The S&P 500 also fell 37.96 points, or 0.72%, to 5,205.81.
Whereas, the Nasdaq Composite closed at 16,240.45, down 156.38 points or 0.95%. Shares of Tesla fell 4.9% and shares of Calvin Klein-parent PVH Corp dived 22.2%.
