A tragic accident involving a 14 year old girl has come to light in Hyderabad. Actually, the innocent girl was suffering the rape of her father for many years. When she told her mother about the abuse, she was scolded. Then his neighbor uncle and aunt came forward to support him. Even in September 2023, when her father raped her again, the minor girl reached out to her uncle for help.
When the mother returned home and learned about the incident, she informed the police. However, during the trial, the mother blamed her daughter and even claimed that the allegations were fabricated. The mother said, the girl wanted her uncle and aunt to adopt her, hence she had made up this story.
“Though a case was registered based on the mother’s written complaint, she later denied registering it and claimed that the police never interrogated her,” a police officer said. Despite intense cross-examination, the neighbors corroborated the girl’s statements. As a result, the Twelfth Additional Sessions Court in Nampally sentenced the 38-year-old father to life imprisonment, and awarded a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the girl.
The girl’s mother gave such a statement
On the night of the incident, the girl ran away from her father and informed her neighbor uncle, who warned the accused. Initially, the victim’s mother testified that the neighbor woman wanted to adopt the girl. Later, during cross-examination, she alleged that the neighbor only wanted the girl to do household work in exchange for better food and clothes. “The statements of the mother of the minor girl during the investigation directly contradict her initial testimony,” the police officer said, quoting the court’s observations.
