Fear of defeat and concern for the family, these veteran Congress leaders are not ready to contest the elections…

The first list of Congress for the Lok Sabha elections has arrived.

In this, it has been announced that Rahul Gandhi will contest from Wayanad seat and Shashi Tharoor will contest from Thiruvananthapuram. Till now the picture is not clear on Rahul Gandhi contesting from Amethi.

Not only this, apart from him, there are many such leaders whose names have not been announced yet. Not only this, it is being discussed that many big leaders like Kamal Nath, Ashok Gehlot do not want to contest elections.

According to Congress sources, neither Sachin Pilot nor Ashok Gehlot will contest the Lok Sabha elections in Rajasthan. Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav can contest from Jalore seat. Although the family seat has been Jodhpur.

Apart from this, former Congress Chief Minister Kamal Nath is also not ready to contest in Madhya Pradesh. In his place, son Nakul Nath will contest from Chhindwara. At the same time, experts say that the indifference of senior Congress leaders towards the elections will also have an impact on the results.

In fact, if these leaders had contested the elections, an atmosphere would have been created. Especially if big leaders contest elections on difficult seats, it would have helped in creating an atmosphere for the party. But the party’s concern has increased due to the leaders adopting a defensive stance.

Meanwhile, the Congress Election Committee meeting was held on Monday. In this meeting, seats of Assam, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh were discussed.

Apart from Rajasthan, MP, Gujarat, senior leaders in Uttarakhand are also not willing to contest elections. The party has offered Harish Rawat from Haridwar, while Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya has been offered two seats from Kumaon.

But both the leaders do not intend to contest elections. Harish Rawat wants that his son should be given the ticket in his place. The reason for this is that he is now in a mood to retire from politics and wants to install his son in his place. Senior leader and MLA Pritam Singh had received the offer from Tehri seat, but he also refused.

Due to this attitude of senior leaders, there is a situation of internal discord in the Congress. Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress President Karan Mahara has told the party high command that senior leaders should take responsibility and contest the elections. Doing this in difficult times will send a good message. But the interesting thing is that even Speaker Mallikarjun Kharge himself does not want to contest the Lok Sabha seat.

Will only Kharge break the rules of Congress? Son-in-law will enter after son

There is a general consensus on the Kalburga seat in his name, but he wants to give this seat to his son-in-law. His wish is that son-in-law Radhakrishnan Doddamani should get the ticket. However, in this way he will violate the resolution passed in the Congress session, in which it was resolved that only one member of a family will get the Lok Sabha or Assembly ticket.
