Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Lasya from Telangana died in a fatal road accident at Pathancheru in Sangareddy district on Friday.
The MLA from Secunderabad Cantt was 33 years old. According to the police, this accident occurred when an uncontrolled car collided with the divider.
BRS chief K. Chandrashekhar Rao has expressed deep grief over the demise of Nandita. BRS working president KT Rama Rao also expressed grief over the demise of the MLA.
Police said the accident occurred early today when the MLA was going from Secunderabad to Sadashivpet. The driver lost control due to which the car crashed into the divider.
In this accident, the MLA died on the spot while the driver suffered serious injuries. He has been admitted to a private hospital.
The body has been sent to Patancheru Area Hospital for post-mortem. Later he will be taken to his residence in Chikkadpally. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has expressed condolence on the demise of Nandita. Reddy said on Twitter, “I am deeply shocked by the untimely demise of Cantt MLA Lasya Nandita.
I had a close relationship with Nandita’s father, late Sayanna. He died in this month last year. It is very sad that Nandita is also no more. My deepest condolences to his family. I pray to God to give peace to his soul.”
Nandita had earlier been injured in a road accident while returning from Nalgonda to Hyderabad. His father died of a heart attack on February 19 last year. After that Nandita won the election from Cantonment area.
