Former judge wanted to donate to BJP, lost Rs 2.5 crore in the name of electoral bond…

The judge, who retired from his post in 2010, has filed a criminal complaint in a police station in Hyderabad three days ago, i.e. on 27th February.

It has been said in the FIR that his family had collected this amount among themselves.

According to the former judge, after collecting this amount from the family, this amount was paid to both the accused so that they could buy electoral bonds but no bond was ever issued.

The complaint states that these bonds were to be issued in favor of BJP.

Among the two people who have been made accused in the FIR, one is Narendran and the other is Sarath Reddy. According to a Bar & Bench report, in the FIR, the former judge has alleged, “Narendran, who is an acquaintance of our relatives, took advantage of his acquaintanceship to come to me and demand some donations for the ruling party at the Centre. Which was to be accepted through bond. Narendran had entrusted the responsibility of collecting the money from us to Sarath Reddy. (Sarath Reddy is said to be involved in a construction company named Atmiya Homes).”

The former judge also alleged that Sarath Reddy had promised him and his grandchildren a “respectable” position in the United States, as he had been a judge of the high courts of Allahabad and Andhra Pradesh.

The retired judge said that he and his family fell into his trap and his wife and daughter gave him a total of Rs 2.5 crore from time to time in 2021. He said that there is also evidence of chat texts with him on WhatsApp.

The former judge has alleged in his complaint that neither his family members were given any help in America nor any electoral bonds could be purchased with the money given by him.

In the complaint, the former judge has also accused him of flouting the recent Supreme Court order on electoral bonds.
