The police have made a big revelation in the case of an Indian family found dead in their own luxurious bungalow worth Rs 17 crore in San Mateo, California, US state on Tuesday.
Anand Sujit Henry, 37, committed suicide after killing his 38-year-old wife Alice and 4-year-old twin sons, Noah and Nathan, the Daily Mail reported.
The bodies of both the children were found in the bedroom, while the bodies of the couple were found in the bathroom. A pistol was found near the couple’s dead body.
Since then the police was investigating the case from both suicide and murder angles. According to police officials, the couple’s blood soaked bodies had bullet marks from a 9 mm pistol.
The loaded pistol had fallen in the bathroom itself. According to police sources, Anand first killed the children and then shot his wife and committed suicide. This Indian-American family was originally a resident of Kerala.
Documents revealed that Anand was a software engineer, a former employee of Google and Meta, while his wife was a data science manager at a company called Zillow.
The couple had filed a divorce petition in the court in 2016 but could not bring it to fruition. In 2020 itself, the couple had bought this luxurious bungalow for about Rs 17 crore.
According to police sources, the twins were killed in some other way. According to NBC, police suspect that the children may have been killed by drug overdose because no marks were found on their bodies. The reasons for the murder have not been known yet.
The police is investigating the case On Tuesday, the police had reached Anand’s house when one of his family friends had called and asked for help.
According to him, Anand was not answering any phone calls, due to which the family friend suspected something untoward.
When the police reached there the house was locked from inside. After searching around the house, the police did not find any evidence of forced entry. However, a window of the house was found open, through which the police could enter inside the house.
Inside the house, police recovered the couple’s dead body from the bathroom. The police were investigating the case from the angle of murder and suicide.
