The ‘lies’ of Maldivian President Mohammed Muizzu, who is considered pro-China, have been exposed by the former minister of the country.
The former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives said that Muizzoo’s claim of the presence of ‘thousands of Indian soldiers’ is not true. He has also clarified that there are no armed soldiers present in the country.
Former Maldives minister Abdulla Shahid said, ‘It has been 100 days, it has become clear that President Muizzu’s claims of thousands of Indian soldiers are just a pack of lies.
The current administration has not been able to present a figure. There are no armed soldiers anywhere in the country. He said that transparency is necessary and truth should prevail.
Muijju has been continuously raising questions on India
The special thing is that the new President of Maldives Muizzoo is continuously maintaining anti-India tone. This trend has been continuing since his election campaign, where he specifically raised the issue of pulling out Indian troops from Maldives.
The very second day after assuming power, Muizzu formally requested the Indian government to withdraw the troops.
Even in December last year, Muizzu had claimed that an agreement had been reached after talks with the Indian government. He claimed that the Indian government has agreed to withdraw the troops.
Statistics show that currently 70 Indian soldiers are present in Maldives. Apart from this, Dornier 228 patrol aircraft and 2 HAL helicopters are also in Maldives.
