These cases are registered against Sangwan in Rajasthan, Delhi and Haryana. Kapil Sangwan had left the hotel management course midway and entered the world of crime.
He was studying from a college in Manesar, Haryana. Police have also announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh on the arrest of Kapil Sangwan.

Kapil Sangwan fled to UK when he was released on parole
Kapil Sangwan went to jail for the first time in 2014. A case of extortion was registered against him. In the same year, a case of robbery was also registered against him. Sangwan was again arrested in Rajasthan in 2016.
After this, in 2019, a MCOCA case was registered against Sangwan. In 2020, when he came out of jail on parole, he fled to the UK.
A police source said that after making a fake passport, Sangwan first went to Thailand, then went to Dubai and later went to UK from there.
