‘From Parliament to Airport, everything is built on Waqf land’, sensational claim of Muslim leader…

All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) Chief and former MP Badruddin Ajmal on Wednesday created a controversy by making a sensational claim that the buildings of Parliament and its surrounding areas in the national capital Delhi are built on Waqf Board property.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Ajmal claimed that the area from Vasant Vihar to the airport in the national capital is built on Waqf property.

He claimed that the government wants to grab 9.7 lakh bighas of land of Waqf Board. He has also demanded to hand over the Waqf land to the Muslim community.

Former MP Ajmal has opposed the Waqf Bill and said, “Voices are being raised about this and lists of Waqf properties are coming out across the world.

Parliament House, its surrounding areas and the entire area from Vasant Vihar to the airport are built on Waqf property. “People also say that the airport is built on Waqf property.”

He further said, “Using Waqf land without permission is wrong. On this issue of Waqf Board, they (Modi government) will lose their government very soon.”

Meanwhile, opposition MPs have written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on the gross violation of parliamentary code of conduct during the meeting of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024.

In this letter, the opposition MPs have alleged multiple violations of the parliamentary code of conduct and rules of procedure by committee chairperson Jagdambika Pal during the JPC meeting held in New Delhi on October 14.

In a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker, the opposition MPs said, “The proceedings of the committee were conducted in a partisan manner by Chairperson Jagdambika Pal. The invitation extended by the Speaker to Anwar Maniappadi to present evidence before the Committee is not within the scope and jurisdiction of the Committee.”

The opposition MPs also claimed that the note titled “Presentation on the Waqf Bill 2012 based on the Karnataka Waqf Scam Report 2012” did not contain any comment on the Waqf Bill but only contained politically motivated remarks against Karnataka Congress leaders including Mallikarjun Kharge. There were allegations.
