Bangalore. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will launch the first test flight of its first human space mission in December this year. No humans will be sent in it. Robot Vyom Mitra will be sent in the second flight of the mission and four astronauts will be sent in the third flight. ISRO has not yet announced the timing of the second and third flights.
ISRO Chairman S. Somnath said that the hardware of the mission’s rocket has reached Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. Work on the crew module is going on at Vikram Sarabhai Space Center in Trivandrum. It is expected that this work will be completed by November. Gaganyaan’s human mission will be of 3 days, under which a team of astronauts will be sent to the Earth’s orbit 400 km above. After this, the crew module (in which the astronauts sit) will be landed safely in the sea. If India succeeds in this mission, it will become the fourth country to do so. Before this, America, China and Russia have done this.
