Alex Soros, son of American billionaire businessman George Soros, on Wednesday met the head of the interim government of Bangladesh, Muhammad Yunus.
In photos shared on social media after the meeting, Alex Soros described Yunus as an old friend of his father.
Along with this, Alex also praised Yunus for guiding Bangladesh to a future based on equality and fairness.
Sharing pictures on Instagram, Alex wrote, “Pleased to meet my father and old friend of the Foundation, Nobel laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh.
He is working to take Bangladesh towards a peaceful future on the basis of equality.
Actually, the image of Alex Soros’ father George Soros is as a staunch left leader and businessman. Many times the governments of different countries have banned his foundation from their countries, accusing him of plotting a coup.
George Soros has also been continuously spewing venom against the current government of India. He is considered a staunch opponent of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He is considered to be one of the businessmen who tries to run the world according to his own will. Soros is constantly accused of spending a lot of money in elections in democratic countries and after winning, he tries to run the country as per his wish.
This meeting of Alex Soros with Muhammad Yunus is taking place after the ouster of Sheikh Hasina from power. Awami League leader Sheikh Hasina was in power in Bangladesh for more than one and a half decade. The student movement in the months of July and August forced Sheikh Hasina to leave power in Bangladesh and flee.
After Sheikh Hasina left power, the army took over the reins but soon under pressure from students, an interim government was formed under the leadership of Muhammad Yunus.
Even before this coup, the then Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina had accused America without naming her that a big country has told us that if we listen to them and hand over our two islands to them, then they will allow our government to run but If we do not allow this to happen then they will spread anarchy in the country and topple the government. Shortly after this statement by Hasina, the student movement started and Hasina lost power.
However, from the US side these allegations were called baseless and laughable. Muhammad Yunus, who recently visited the US, while addressing the UN General Assembly, talked about the student movement and Sheikh Hasina’s ouster from power.
He described Sheikh Hasina’s rule as undemocratic and dictatorial.
Yunus expressed hope that soon we will conduct elections in Bangladesh and bring back democracy.
