Khanna and Omar have urged the State Department not to recognize the winner until an investigation into the interference allegations is complete.

British Foreign Minister David Cameron expressed serious concern about the lack of fairness in the elections. Earlier this week, the United Nations Human Rights Office condemned violence against political parties and candidates.

It had expressed concern over Imran Khan’s party’s methods of harassment, arrests and detention of leaders and supporters.
