Good news for firefighters, more than 25% of the soldiers may have confirmed jobs…

The central government is considering measures to improve the Agniveer scheme.

In this regard, the Defense Ministry has asked the chiefs of the three armies whether they are capable of making more than 25 percent of Agniveers permanent? The chiefs of the three armies can soon submit their opinion to the government in this regard.

Sources say that due to non-recruitment in the armies during the Corona period, the posts of soldiers are vacant in all the three armies, hence in the coming days, more than 25 percent of Agniveers may get a chance to be made permanent.

However, the process of intensive consultation on this matter is still going on within the three armies. But if the Agniveers are made permanent on the basis of vacancies, then it is certain that more Agniveers will be made permanent.

When asked about this, Air Force Chief AP Singh said that the government has asked all three services about this. Consultation is going on on this and we will submit our opinion to the government soon.

The Central Government had started the Agneepath Scheme in 2022, under which the scheme of recruitment of Agniveers in the three armies was started for four years.

Under the scheme, a maximum of 25 percent of Agniveers will be made permanent on completion of their four-year tenure. For this they will have to pass a separate test.

Since then, Agniveer is being continuously recruited in all three armies. Till now, more than 50 thousand Agniveer have been recruited in the three armies.

The opposition is continuously targeting the government regarding the scheme. Therefore, there is pressure on the government to improve this scheme. Meanwhile, the Army has also started consultations with the three services on this issue.

Since the first batch of Agniveers will be retired in 2026, the government has enough time to change the policy of permanentization of Agniveers.
