Hamas not releasing hostages? Israel calls back its team from Qatar, will wreak havoc on Gaza…

Israel and Hamas rejected international calls to reimpose a ceasefire that expired on Saturday.

Israel launched airstrikes targeting homes and buildings in the Gaza Strip after the ceasefire ended on Friday, killing at least 178 people.

The Health Ministry gave this information here. At the same time, Israel says that it has targeted more than 200 positions of Hamas and about 240 people have been killed.

According to the United Nations, an estimated 1.7 million people in Gaza (about 80 percent of the population) have been displaced by the eight-week war.

Fadel Naim, chief physician at Gaza City’s al-Ahli Arab hospital, said 30 bodies had arrived at his morgue since the morning, including seven children.

“The planes bombed our houses: three bombs, three houses destroyed,” Nemr al-Bel, 43, told AFP. He said he counted 10 people in his family dead and “13 others are still under the debris”.

Now with the ceasefire agreement breaking, this war can take a more serious form. The ceasefire was reached with the help of Qatar, supported by Egypt and the US.

Israel and Hamas have accused each other of violating the terms of the ceasefire. Qatar, acting as a mediator with Egypt, hinted at Israel’s role in the attack.

However, now Israel said that it has called back the team that had gone to Qatar to start a fresh agreement. On Saturday, Israel said it was withdrawing its negotiators from Doha after reaching an impasse in talks aimed at achieving a fresh pause in the attacks.

“Following a deadlock in negotiations and on the instructions of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Mossad chief David Barnia ordered his team in Doha to return to Israel,” the Israeli leader’s office said.

French President Emmanuel Macron appealed to “intensify efforts to reach a permanent ceasefire” to free all hostages, allow more aid and assure Israel of its security.

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry said that “the ongoing bombardment of the Gaza Strip in the first hours after the end of the ceasefire complicates mediation efforts.” “This will increase humanitarian devastation in the region.” Qatar urged the international community to “move quickly to stop the violence.”

According to Israeli officials, during an unprecedented attack on October 7, Hamas militants broke through the Gaza border and entered Israel.

They killed about 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and took about 240 Israelis and foreigners hostage.

Hamas officials, who control Gaza, say Israel vowed to eliminate Hamas in response and launched an air and ground campaign that killed more than 15,000 people, mostly civilians.
