The money from Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi will come into the accounts of farmers on Saturday. More than 9.4 crore farmers will get benefits of more than Rs 20 thousand crore through direct transfer (DBT). PM Modi will release the 18th installment of the scheme from Washim in Maharashtra.
The scheme was launched on 24 February 2019. In this, six thousand rupees are given to the landholding farmers every year in three equal installments. As soon as the money for the 18th installment is released, a total amount of more than Rs 3.45 lakh crore will go into the accounts of eligible farmers under this scheme.

Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said on Friday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will transfer about Rs 20 thousand crore to the accounts of nine crore three lakh farmers under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme on June 18. Briefing the media in New Delhi, Shivraj Chauhan said that in the last ten years, Rs 3 lakh crore has been transferred to the accounts of 11 crore farmers so far.
Wrote a letter to the Chief Ministers of all the states
Union Minister Chauhan said that he has written a letter to all the Chief Ministers to attend the Prime Minister’s program on June 18. He highlighted that after taking charge as the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, he has been discussing and working with the officials of the Ministry on every important issue related to the welfare of farmers.
