According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning is likely at some places over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Bihar, West Jharkhand, North and Extreme South-East Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, North Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, North Maharashtra, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Northeast Assam and Meghalaya today.
How will the weather be in Delhi?
According to a report by Skymet Weather, there may be heavy rain in Delhi-NCR today. Similar weather conditions are expected on August 11 as well. This trend may continue till August 15. Along with this, the temperature of Delhi will also decrease. The maximum temperature is expected to be between 32 to 33 degrees Celsius.
Rain alert in 13 districts of Tamil Nadu
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in 13 districts of Tamil Nadu due to the intensification of southwest monsoon. According to the press release issued by the Meteorological Department, Tamil Nadu is likely to receive prolonged rains due to the change in the speed of the southwest monsoon and west-moving winds.
Heavy rains are expected in Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Theni, Dindigul, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Madurai, Sivaganga, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Pudukottai, Thanjavur districts.
Rain alert from Himachal to Rajasthan
According to Skymet, heavy rains may occur in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Northeast Rajasthan, parts of Haryana. At the same time, light rains are also expected in Sikkim, Northeast India, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Vidarbha, Punjab, West Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Coastal Karnataka, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and South Interior Karnataka.
