According to the department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in 10 states from October 12 to 16. Yellow alert has been issued for heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat today i.e. on October 12. Whereas in Delhi, the sky is predicted to remain clear till October 16. The maximum temperature in the national capital is expected to be around 35 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 22 degrees Celsius. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI was recorded in the moderate category. Pollution levels may increase in Delhi by the end of October.
According to the Meteorological Department report, the southwest monsoon may depart from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and parts of Maharashtra, Bihar and Jharkhand within 1 or 2 days. There is a possibility of rain in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. There will be light rain in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on October 13.
