Last year, ISRO created history by successfully landing India’s third moon mission Chandrayaan-3 on the south pole of the Moon.
This historic event will complete one year on 23 August. India got many such information about the moon from Chandrayaan-3, which scientists did not know earlier.
Now, a few days before completing one year, ISRO chief S Somnath has given a big statement regarding the space sector.
He said that more investment is needed in the country’s space sector and he urged private companies to build additional space infrastructure.
ISRO Chief S Somanath said, “We have to invest more in the space sector. The amount we get for space programs is very less compared to many other countries that have full-fledged space programs. We need to find ways to invest more in this sector.”
India is one of those countries that has the capability to build and launch satellites from its land. Talking about this, ISRO Chief Somnath said, “We have to maintain it and move forward on it. It has to be made more affordable and easier.”
ISRO Chief further said that in the coming times, it will also be asked who will invest in this sector and what returns will be received on investing.
In such a situation, there is a need for careful planning for all this. He further said that when the decision was taken to go to the moon with Chandrayaan-1 in the year 2008, it was a very important occasion.
We have carried out many missions since we started launching satellites, but it was very difficult to carry out a dedicated mission to the Moon. This changed the direction of ISRO.
