Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Mumbai Trans Harbor Link on January 12.
It is being said to be the longest sea bridge in the country.
This 21.8 km long bridge is between Sewri in Mumbai and Nhava Sheva area of Raigarh district. After its inauguration the journey will take only 15-20 minutes which currently takes 2 hours.
According to officials, MTHL will connect to the main Mumbai-Pune Expressway which connects the 2 largest cities of the state. This is a 6 lane bridge. Its 16.5 km long portion is over the sea, while 5.5 km is on land.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had given information a few days ago about the inauguration of the Mumbai Trans Harbor Link. He had told that PM Modi will inaugurate MTHL on January 12.
With this bridge, rapid economic development will be possible in the areas connected to it.
MTHL will connect Sewri in Mumbai with Chirle in Navi Mumbai and can handle movement of 70,000 vehicles per day. It is being said that the inauguration of Mumbai Trans Harbor Link is going to bring revolutionary changes in transportation. This will also reduce travel time considerably.
Demand for housing will also increase in Panvel
With improvement in connectivity, demand for housing is also going to increase. Especially in Panvel area, property values are expected to increase.
With the completion of MTHL, it will become very convenient to reach Panvel from Central and South Mumbai. MTHL will also be connected to Mumbai-Pune Expressway through an elevated corridor.
This is going to benefit the frequent travelers from Mumbai to Pune. It will also pass through Navi Mumbai International Airport.
It is noteworthy that Navi Mumbai is being seen as the next Mumbai 3.0. Work is going on at a rapid pace on many big projects here.
