The prototype of Vande Bharat sleeper train has been revealed.
This train is going to be very special.
It is planned to be commissioned by November 15 and will be sent to Lucknow RDSO for testing and trials. Currently 78 Vande Bharat trains are operating as intercity express trains across the country.
Like Vande Bharat sleeper trains Rajdhani Express, it will be fully air-conditioned. It will have 16 sleeper coaches. It is designed for long distance.
It has been prepared at a cost of Rs 120 crore. The design was prepared by ICF engineers and the rake was manufactured by BEML.
This rake includes 11 3AC, 4 2AC and one first-class coach. The total capacity of this train is 823 passengers.
How special is this train compared to Rajdhani Express:
motion-Vande Bharat sleeper train can reach a speed of 160 km/h. It can pick up its speed sooner than Rajdhani Express. Due to this, travel time for passengers will be reduced.
comfortable-The beds in Vande Bharat sleeper trains have been designed with better cushioning. It is better than the beds found in the capital. Additionally, each bed side is provided with extra cushioning to facilitate better sleep.
Upper berth-Indian Railways has said that the new Vande Bharat Sleeper train has been designed giving priority to the convenience of passengers. Compared to Rajdhani, an easier staircase has been made to reach the upper berth.
Automatic Train-Vande Bharat Sleeper is an automatic train. It has a driver’s cabin at both ends. This eliminates the need for a locomotive to pull the train. Rajdhani Express requires a locomotive. This design results in reduced turnaround time at terminal stations. This increases efficiency.
Automatic doors-Vande Bharat sleeper train will have automatic entry and exit doors for passengers. This will be controlled by the driver. Additionally, there will also be automatic interconnecting doors between coaches, which will further enhance the convenience and safety of passengers.
Toilet-Vande Bharat sleeper train has bio-vacuum toilet system. It has modular touch-free fittings. Passengers traveling in the first AC coach will have the facility of even a shower cubicle.
Journey without shock- Railway officials said that passengers will get a hassle-free and smooth travel experience in Vande Bharat sleeper trains. This experience will be better than Rajdhani trains.
