Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Sunday accused Congress of dividing Hindus and doing appeasement politics towards Muslims.
In an interview, the Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister has alleged that Congress uses Muslims as vote bank.
He also took a dig at Rahul Gandhi and said that no matter how much he talks about ST, SC and OBC, he does not even know its ‘ABC’.
He has said that the Congress party is doing politics of ‘divide and rule’ to shatter Modi ji’s dream of a developed India.
Speaking to news agency IANS, Kiren Rijiju said, “When elections are held, Congress says that 15 percent of its vote percentage is reserved. How dirty is this thinking that Congress Party sees Muslims as vote bank. And this is a big loss for the Muslim also. They have taken the Muslims as a guarantee that they will vote for us. So how can a Muslim rise?” Kiren Rijiju further said, “The basic plan of Congress is to keep Muslims as vote bank and divide Hindus.”
Sharing a video of his interview on social media platform X on Sunday, the Union Minister wrote, “My warning to Muslims: Don’t become Congress’ vote bank! My warning to Hindus and others: Do not fall victim to the divide and rule policies of the Congress Party.”
Kiren Rijiju said that an important part of the Congress’ plan is to keep the Muslims as their vote bank while dividing the Hindus.
Rijiju said, “Rahul Gandhi does not even know ABCD about the problems and issues of SC, ST and OBC people. Still he keeps talking about SC, ST and OBC all the time. They have been taught to speak this way.”
He further said, “The British had also divided the Hindus and now the Congress party wants to divide the Hindus again. I think this is the thing that will cause the most harm to the country.
Therefore we have to remain organized. I also want to tell Muslims that for how long will you keep dancing like puppets by closing the vote bank of Congress. Whatever work Modi ji did by raising the slogan Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas, everyone is getting benefits no matter which religion they belong to.
It is noteworthy that last month, Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP government of being a mute spectator to the continuous attacks on minorities, especially Muslims, and demanded strict action against anarchist elements.
Rahul Gandhi’s comments came in the wake of two incidents of mob violence in BJP-ruled Haryana and Maharashtra. On August 27, a Muslim migrant from West Bengal was beaten to death allegedly by cow vigilantes in Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri on suspicion of eating beef.
Another person was injured in the attack. In Maharashtra, an elderly man was abused and beaten in a train on suspicion of carrying beef.
Sharing screenshots of both the incidents, Rahul Gandhi said that those who have climbed the ladder of power by using hatred as a political weapon are continuously establishing the reign of fear in the country.
