Many Indians have shared videos of Iranian missiles and say that the conditions here are not good. According to the Indian Embassy, there are about 18,000 Indian citizens in Israel.
Most of these Israelis work as elderly care workers, diamond traders, I.T. There are professionals and students.
Nilabja Roychoudhury, who is studying medicine at Bar-Ilan University in Israel’s capital Tel Aviv from Kolkata, told The Times of India that the situation is worsening day by day.
Nilabja said that the current tension is much higher than that created during Israel’s war against Hamas since October 7 last year.
He said, “A few days ago a bomb fell barely 100 meters away from my friend’s house. This was also recorded in CCTV camera. I could also be in his house.”
What are people saying?
Sharing a video of missiles falling on a building in the capital, a caretaker from Telangana said, “The situation is bad. “We have never seen anything more dangerous than this.”
Authorities in Israel have ordered citizens, including Indians, to move to nearby bomb shelters.
Pushpapur Sarangdhar, another caretaker from Telangana, said many people were attracted to Israel because of the good salaries but now they do not feel safe here.
Indian Embassy is keeping an eye on the situation
The Indian Embassy in Israel on Tuesday advised its citizens to remain alert and follow safety protocols as directed by local authorities.
“Please exercise caution,” the embassy said in a statement. Avoid unnecessary travel within the country and stay near safe shelters. The Embassy is closely monitoring the situation and is taking all its necessary steps.
