At a program in Georgetown University, America, Rahul Gandhi said that he sympathizes with PM Narendra Modi many times.
He said, ‘You people will be surprised, but I actually do not hate Mr. Modi. I wake up in the morning and think that he has an opinion on something. My views are somewhat different.
I may not agree with him, but I don’t hate him. I don’t see any reason for a contest like Rahul Gandhi vs Narendra Modi. I don’t consider him my enemy. At times, I even sympathize with him.
Rahul Gandhi said that I walked from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. Halfway through the journey, it was on my mind that I have been in politics since 2004. But why did I never use the word love as a leader.
We use anger and hatred in politics, but the better thing is love. I thought let’s use it in politics.
You can understand how influential and powerful this is. Love is something that everyone feels. Everyone loves their family, country. So why can’t this happen in politics. I don’t think there is a need to rethink the definition of secularism.
Instead, Mahatma Gandhi also had an ideology in the country. This ideology says that we are not ready to accept anger, hatred and violence.
