The Indian Air Force has mastered the art of shooting down China’s spy balloons.
The Air Force practiced this recently. During this, objects like Chinese balloons were flown in the air. After this, Rafale fighter jet shot down this object through air-to-air missiles.
This exercise of the Indian Army is part of the preliminary preparation to deal with China’s espionage. If Chinese balloons flying at a height of 200 feet are seen on the Indian border with the intention of spying in future, the Army will easily shoot them down.
It is noteworthy that in the months of January-February 2023, some Chinese spy balloons flew over America at a height of 200 feet for several days.
Later, American F-22 Raptor shot down these balloons using AIM-9X Sidewinder missile.
Later America informed various countries including India about this. Sources said that IAF has prepared the formula for TTP.
This formula will be used to face similar situations. This is TTP, Tactics, Techniques and Procedures.
According to sources, this demonstration of Rafale was done on February 4 last year at an altitude of 55 thousand feet. This was much higher than the altitude at which the practice was conducted. Apart from this, the balloon made target was smaller than the Chinese balloon which had violated US airspace.
The fifth generation F-22 attacked the balloon flying at a height of 60 thousand feet from a height of 58 thousand feet with a missile.
It is noteworthy that Chinese spy balloons are like unmanned airships. They send special types of transmissions, which are very difficult to detect or intercept. A balloon-like object was seen near Andaman and Nicobar in early 2022.
However, no action could be taken on this then. The reason being, till then India had not deployed fighters on a permanent basis at important places.
Let us tell you that China often sends its spy ships to the Bay of Bengal and South Indian Sea. Its purpose is to track India’s ballistic missile launches.
Apart from this, he also wants to keep an eye on navigation and submarine operations.
IF has deployed 36 Rafales at Hasimara and Ambala airbases. Hasimara is close to Sikkim-Bhutan-Tibet and also important from the eastern border of China.
