Harris was born on October 20, 1964 in Oakland, California. She is of Indian origin, whose mother is Shyamala Gopalan, an Indian researcher, and her father is Jamaican Harris. Indian culture has been a strong influence on Kamala Harris since her mother raised Kamala and her sister Maya after divorcing in 1972. Harris faced apartheid during her school days and always fought for her rights. Her friend told that Harris had a very strong personality in the school, due to which she stood out from everyone in the school.
Kamala Harris started her career in 1990 as an Assistant in the State Bar Council. In 1994 she met 60-year-old Willie Brown, then Speaker of the California Assembly. Kamala faced criticism because of this relationship and was also referred to as Willie’s mistress.
When Harris was selected as the vice presidential candidate in 2020, her and Willie Brown’s relationship was again discussed. His critics accused him of taking advantage of Willie’s political position. After this, Kamala Harris dated celebrity anchor Montel Williams in 2001, who was the host of the famous TV show in America.
Harris achieved many achievements in his career. She has been the Attorney General of California and has also served in the US Senate. His policies include issues such as social justice, health care, and climate change.
