The Instagram influencer claimed that if North Indians leave Bengaluru, the metropolis will become empty.
There is now an uproar on social media regarding this. This viral Instagram reel has been filmed in Koramangala area of the capital of Karnataka.
The influencer’s name is Sugandha Sharma. She said that if North Indians leave Bangalore, even the paying guest rooms here will become vacant.
The video quickly went viral and internet users strongly objected to the statement. Many said that such comments were disrespectful to the city’s culture and heritage.
From common people to celebrities, everyone has commented on the viral reel. They have called such comments divisive and derogatory.
Public figures like actor-rapper Chandan Shetty, actresses Chaitra Achar and Anupama Gowda, and Bigg Boss fame Roopessh Rajanna and Dhanraj also criticised Sharma’s statement.
Shetty called it a publicity stunt and Gowda stressed the importance of maintaining harmony in Bengaluru.
Internet users narrated it a lot
Chaitra Achar wrote, ‘If you can go, go as an experiment. And then see how Bangalore empties. We are ready to live with that emptiness and pubs without dancers. We can live in this situation. Seriously, leave all the North Indians. You go ma’am, this is enough for now.’
Anupama Gowda commented, “If you think this is cool, it’s not. You need Bangalore more than anything else.”
Your leaving Bangalore is not going to make any difference to our city. The fact is that you cannot leave Bangalore. You must understand this.
Many other users have made similar comments and most of them are asking the influencer to leave Bengaluru.
