The first Hindu temple of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) was opened to the general public on Friday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated this first Hindu temple of Abu Dhabi made of stone on 14 February.

The temple management has issued guidelines on its website for devotees and devotees visiting the temple. In this, rules ranging from dress code to photography and videography are explained.

According to the guidelines mentioned on the temple website, those coming wearing T-shirts, caps and tight fitting dresses will not be allowed entry into the temple.

The guidelines state that devotees will have to cover the area of ​​the body between the neck, elbows and ankles before entering the temple.

“Caps, T-shirts and other clothing with objectionable designs are not allowed,” the guidelines read. “Do not wear mesh or see-through and tight-fitting clothes.”

In the guidelines, it has been said that even pet animals will not be allowed to enter the temple premises. Apart from this, outside food and drinks will not be allowed in the temple premises. Also, drone cameras or drones are strictly prohibited within the temple premises. According to the guidelines, the temples will remain open from 9 am to 8 pm from Tuesday to Sunday. The temple will be closed for visitors every Monday.

The temple has been built at a cost of approximately Rs 700 crore in an area of ​​27 acres near Al Rahba on the Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Highway. The land for the temple has been donated by the UAE government.

This temple has been constructed in Nagar style. Similarly, Ram temple has been constructed in Ayodhya.

According to Umesh Raja, a volunteer at the temple, more than 20 thousand tonnes of limestone pieces were carved in Rajasthan and brought to Abu Dhabi in 700 containers.

Bochasan resident Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) said on ‘X’, “The wait is over! The Abu Dhabi temple has now been opened to all visitors and devotees.

It also mentions that the temple will remain open from 9 am to 8 pm on all days except Monday.
