In Lebanon, after pager, now walkie-talkie, solar system explodes, 14 killed; 450 injured…

After the blast in the pager of Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon, several explosions took place once again on Wednesday.

This time walkie-talkies (hand-held radio sets) and solar systems of homes were targeted. At least 14 people were killed in this blast, while more than 450 were injured.

Walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah exploded in Lebanon’s south and in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Wednesday afternoon, security sources and an eyewitness said.

A blast occurred when the last rites of those killed in the pager blast were being performed. During this time, the walkie-talkie suddenly exploded.

A video of the blast in the walkie-talkie has also surfaced. In this, a huge crowd can be seen at the time of the funeral.

Meanwhile, a sudden blast occurs, after which a stampede like situation arises. This blast has happened in the walk-talkie. Like pagers, these devices were also bought only five months ago.

Let us tell you that a day before, pagers used by Hezbollah fighters suddenly exploded at many places in Lebanon. Due to this blast, there was chaos everywhere.

At least 12 people were killed in this attack, while more than 2700 people were injured. Israel is suspected to be behind this attack.

However, Israel has not yet acknowledged it and the Israeli military has refused to comment.

A senior Lebanese security source and another source said Israeli spy agency Mossad had planted explosives inside pagers bought by Hezbollah months before Tuesday’s blasts.

Lebanese Health Minister Firas Abiad said on Wednesday that the death toll from Tuesday’s explosions had risen to 12, including two children.

Nearly 3,000 people were injured in Tuesday’s attack, including several fighters from the extremist group and Iran’s ambassador to Beirut. UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk has called for an independent investigation into the events surrounding the pager explosion.

Which company made pagers?

It is being told that the pagers in which the blasts took place were manufactured by a Hungarian company.

Taiwanese company Gold Apollo gave this information on Wednesday. Gold Apollo said that these pagers were manufactured by another company in Budapest, to which it had given the right to use its official brand on the pagers.

On the other hand, experts believe that explosive material was put in these pagers before they were supplied. On the other hand, an American official said on the condition of anonymity that Israel had informed the US after the attack on Tuesday. A small amount of explosives was hidden in the pager and then it was detonated.

Tension has increased after Hamas attack

There has been almost daily firing between Hezbollah and the Israeli army since the Palestinian group Hamas attacked Israel on October 8 last year.

So far, hundreds of people have been killed in Lebanon in these firing and attacks, while dozens of people have also lost their lives in Israel. Thousands of people have been displaced on both sides of the border in this conflict.

Despite periodic escalations, the two sides have so far carefully avoided war, but Israeli leaders have issued several warnings in recent weeks that they could intensify operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
