Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday called an urgent meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security to discuss the growing tension between Israel and Iran and the current situation in West Asia. Apart from PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval had an in-depth discussion on the emerging crisis in West Asia.
The issue of Iranian attack on Israel was also discussed in detail in the meeting. The committee described the current developments in West Asia as extremely worrying. The impact on the supply of other products including fuel was also discussed in the meeting. India appealed to all parties to immediately resolve the issues through diplomacy and dialogue.
