Washington. PM Narendra Modi’s visit to the US has further strengthened cultural and economic ties between the two. He said that India is ready to share its experience and expertise. Modi’s vision is One Earth, One Health, and in this spirit, India has also assured cooperation in radiotherapy treatment and capacity building. This visit has not only reflected India’s growing global presence but has also highlighted new possibilities of cooperation on cultural and health related issues. This development is an important opportunity to further deepen mutual cooperation between the two countries.
During this visit, PM Modi gave a unique gift to President Joe Biden, a train model made of 92.5 percent silver. This model has been prepared by the artisans of Maharashtra, which is a wonderful example of the rich heritage and art skills of Indian Railways. This train model has inscriptions connecting Delhi and Delaware as well as Indian Railways written in English and Hindi. It not only symbolizes historical importance but also reflects the deep friendship between the two countries. This gift is an effort to get India’s art and culture recognized at the global level.
Another important development was seen during PM Modi’s visit to America. President Biden returned 297 antiquities to India, taking the total number of antiquities recovered by India since 2014 to 640. The 578 items returned by the US are an important step in preserving India’s cultural heritage. During PM Modi’s visit to the US in 2021, 157 antiquities were also handed over, including a 12th century bronze Nataraja statue.
On the first day of the Quad summit, PM Modi also announced a contribution of $7.5 million for sampling kits, detection kits, and vaccines under the Quad Cancer Moonshot initiative.
